Dr. Drazner served his internship and a residency over the following three years at the Animal Medical Center in New York after which he served as Staff Internist at one of America’s first veterinary referral hospitals for the following seven years. While serving as a Staff Internist in Colorado, Frederick became America’s second Diplomate to have passed an exam for Board Certification by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. Also while working in Colorado, Dr. Drazner served as Adjunct Professor at the Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine, at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, and at the Denver University Department of Comparative Medicine. Additionally, he was an instructor in Veterinary Technology at the Bel Rea Institute in Denver CO. Doctor Drazner has been a primary or secondary author of at least fifty clinical articles relating to small animal medicine; has written entire chapters for such acclaimed textbooks as Current Veterinary Therapy, Textbook of Veterinary Internal Medicine, and Small Animal Surgery.
